“ISI IS GOING GREEN”

Information regarding “green” practices that ISI encourages and follows:

• Redesign food display products to incorporate LED lighting systems vs. fluorescent.

• All shop materials are recycled (wood, cardboard, steel, aluminum, oil, etc.)

• All office paper recycled.

• Replacing existing lighting with more efficient T-8 lighting systems throughout the entire facility to save on energy.

• Replaced existing spacer heaters with radiant heat units providing better heating and reduce natural gas consumption by 50% per year.

• Gone “paperless” with daily production reports saving more than one ream of paper per week.

• All computers and copiers shut down every night.

• All office areas have live green plants to absorb any carbon dioxide and provide Oxygen.

• ISI also performs material segregation and recycling for other companies (i.e. separation of steel belts from rubber tire compound).

• Employees car pool, use public transportation, bicycle/walk to work to save on gas.

• Employees can purchase mass transportation passes through payroll deduction.

• Involved with other organizations that also have gone “green” for better networking and education.

• “Green Awareness” program on our website so that other people can find fast and easy ways to improve the environment.

• Green Logo

Ways Industrial Support Inc. can and plans to improve in the future:

• Buying products from recycled materials- (i.e. garbage cans, garbage bags, office supplies).

• Start using double sided paper or using smaller font size when printing documents.

• Develop and design new products/equipment that are safer and better for the environment. (energy star rated equipment)

• Find ways to reduce greenhouse gases.
