Q: What materials are you capable of CNC machining?

A: ISI does CNC machining stainless steel, mild and carbon steel, brass, copper, aluminum and a broad variety of plastics.

Q: What size parts can your CNC machines handle?

A: Our CNC lathe can sequentially machine parts from bar stock up to 2.6" diameter through the chuck and can turn individual parts up to 13.8" O.D. and 16.1" in length. Our CNC Milling Center can machine parts up to 40" X 20" x 25." 

Q: What sort of turn-around time do you offer for CNC machining work?

A: Our standard turn-around time is 3 – 4 weeks. We turn all CNC machining quotes around in 48 hours and can sometimes have the first CNC parts for inspection within 1-2 weeks, depending on material availability.

Q: How do I get a CNC machining quote from ISI?

A: To provide a quote for CNC work, we need current engineering drawings, material specifications, quantity and finish requirements. Samples are helpful also but not required. Engineering drawings can be e-mailed in .pdf, .dwg or .dxf formats or you can include a reader file with other formats (e. g. Solidworks.)  Drawings can also be mailed (preferable) or faxed to our manufacturing plant in Buffalo, New York.
